Every tool can be rented for one run or bought forever. Renting is cheap, but it adds up: the numbers below show how many runs it takes before the forever version would have been cheaper. Prices and descriptions come straight from the Roblox store and update when the developer changes them.

Chapter 3 is the alien ship. Its Forever passes say “every Orbit run”, so they don't help you in the prison.
What to buy
Forever costs about 6 to 7 runs of renting
Every tool's Forever pass is priced at roughly six or seven one-run rentals. So the question is simple: will you use this tool for more than about seven runs? If yes, buy it forever. If you're just trying it, rent it once first.
All Tools Forever: 1,459 Robux
Every tool forever, in every run and server. Bought one by one, the 11 Forever passes cost 2,439 Robux, so the bundle is 980 Robux cheaper. Only worth it if you really want all of them.
The two helpers
Infinite Bag: 9 Robux for one run, 49 Robux forever (Have infinite bag). Drill-Bot: 19 Robux for one run, 99 Robux forever (A helping hand for your run). The 149 Robux Starter Pack gives you both forever plus 250 Gems, which is the cheapest way to get them. If you already rented one this run, the store sells a “Keep Forever” upgrade where you only pay the difference.
